All animals receiving services will need to be cleared by a licensed veterinarian before being seen. The referring veterinarian will receive copies of the physical therapy evaluation and progress notes on a monthly basis so they are informed of the animal’s improvement.

Initial Evaluation

All animals seeking services will need a physical therapy evaluation prior to beginning any therapy. The cost of the evaluation is $95. This will determine which services are indicated for the animal. Goals will be developed by the physical therapist and the owner will be involved in this process to maximize the needs of the animal.

Laser Therapy

Laser can be utilized to treat open wounds, post-surgical incisions, arthritis and tendon/soft tissue injuries. Cost per treatment is $40 for up to 25 minutes (a typical treatment is 5-9 minutes per body part).

Underwater Treadmill

The underwater treadmill can be used to promote mobility in overweight, de-conditioned or weak dogs. It can also be used for strengthening for sporting dogs. Cost per treatment is $40 for up to 30 minutes.

Massage Therapy

Massage can be used on animals to relax tight muscles, promote tissue healing, improve relaxation and decrease pain. Cost is $40 for 30 minutes.

Targeted Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (tPEMF) or Assisi Loop

Targeted Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (tPEMF) also know as the Assisi Loop is a non-pharmaceutical anti-inflammatory device that uses pulsed electromagnetic field technology to treat pain and inflammation. It is used to treat:

  • Orthopedic Injuries
  • Degenerative Disorders
  • Neurological Issues
  • Post-Surgical Pain & Swelling
  • Inflammatory Conditions
  • Wounds

Cost per treatment is $30 for each 15 minutes.

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy is a hands-on approach to improve joint function, increase tissue extensibility, mobilize or manipuate joints and soft tissue, promote relaxation, decrease pain, and decrease soft tissue inflammation and/or swelling. These techniques include joint mobilizations, traction, soft tissue massage, deep tissue massage, cross friction massage, and passive range of motion.

Cost per treatment is $30 for each 15 minutes.

Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic exercise can be utilized to improve range of motion, strength, endurance, balance and coordination. Cost is $40 for each 30 minutes.

Owner Education

Education of owners is stressed to help heal their animals and prevent future injury. Information about the animal’s condition and expectations will be given as well as a written exercise program for home. Owner education is FREE to current clients receiving other treatments.

Paws in Motion

Paws in Motion is a service offered to overweight dogs to get them more physically fit. The program costs $550 to the owner and the dog will be seen three times per week for four weeks or up to 12 visits. Services will include:

  • Land Based Exercises
  • Owner Education
  • Weight will be recorded each visit
