Start Smart Obedience Class
Our Start Smart Obedience Class is designed to build a strong foundation of communication and trust between you and your dog. In a positive, supportive environment, dogs learn essential skills such as sit, down, stay, come, and polite leash walking, while owners gain practical training techniques they can use at home. This class is ideal for doges new to training or in need of a refresher, focusing on good manners, confidence, and a happy learning experience for both dog and handler. Prerequisites: none. Instructor: Diane Gaw. This class starts Monday March 2 at 6:00 for six weeks. Cost is $150.
Competition Obedience Class
Competition obedience class focuses on developing precision, reliability, and teamwork between handler and dog. Through structured exercises such as heeling, recalls, stays, and retrieves, dogs learn to perform with accuracy and confidence while maintaining focus amid distractions. Handlers refine timing, cues, and ring etiquette to meet formal obedience standards, creating a strong working partnership built on clear communication, consistency, and trust. Prerequisites: Basic obedience knowledge. Instructor: Diane Gaw. This class starts Monday March 2 at 7:15 for six weeks. Cost is $150.
Introduction to Nosework Course
This is a foundational course for dogs and handlers to learn the sport of K9 Nosework, based on the National Association of Canine Scentwork course methods. The class will focus on building a dog’s natural hunting instincts in a fun and safe environment. The primary goals are to strengthen the dog’s confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills, while improving the human-animal bond and developing a partnership. Prerequisites: None. Designed to be a low-stress activity for dogs of all breeds, ages, and experience levels. Instructor: Michelle Lehr. This class starts Monday February 23 at 3:30 for five weeks. Cost is $125.
Fit Dog Class
Fit Dog class is designed to improve overall canine conditional through safe, purposeful exercises that build strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance. Using low-impact movements, body awareness activities, and controlled fitness stations, dogs develop better muscle tone and coordination while reducing the risk of injury. Handlers learn proper warm-ups, cool-downs, and exercise techniques to support their dog’s physical health and long-term performance in both sport and everyday life. Prerequisite: Basic obedience knowledge. Instructor: Michelle Lehr. The next Fit Dog class being offered is FitDog Level 3. This class starts January 13 at 6:00 for six weeks. Cost is $125.
Fit Dog Workshop
Join us for an engaging workshop focused on teaching our dogs skills that encourage body awareness, coordination, and mental stimulation. The workshop will include basic skills through more challenging skills taught in advanced classes. Dogs will have the opportunity for a skill evaluation to complete a AKC FitDog Level if desired. Prerequisites: Basic obedience knowledge. Taught by a Certified Instructor: Michelle Lehr. This event is Saturday February 7 from 1:00 to 3:00. Cost is $60.
